Rumble in the Jumble III

Ever heard of Rumble in the Jumble? I know i had but i never lived in London to experience the madness for myself. The beautiful Gemma Cairney and The Music Circle hosted their third jumble sale to raise money for women in the Democratic Republic of Congo with Oxfam. Donations come from the glittering world of celebrity along with normal folk, which means but may find yourself bagging yourself Fearne Cotton's shirt (as i did!) or a stage dress work by Paloma Faith (which i didn't!). Entry was £3 and there was an invite to bring a bag of jumble a long too; I am forever in need of a wardrobe clear out to seized the opportunity to clear out a few 'worn-once' dresses and 'why did i buy this' purchases and poodled along with a few friends.

There were flash auctions, a photo booth, tea and cake from Joe's Tea Co., DJs and the odd celeb manning a stall. Comically trying on Dermot O'leary's shoes and chatting to Caroline Flack about her tiny feet were just the icing on the cake when it came round to an all round fantastic morning. It's a really wonderful concept and works so well; even without the celebrity draw, the prices were low as expected at a jumble sale, but the quality high. I grabbed myself a few bargains, including a beautiful vintage dress pre-owned by one of my personal favorites Gizzi Erskine. I know last years event raised over £16,000 and i can't wait to find out how much they managed to raise this year for a truly wonderful cause. Well done to the whole team and especially Gemma for being a bright and breezy host. Keep your eyes peeled for future events.

I'm back to blogging again now, this month has been particularly manic with little time to brush my hair let along lug around my camera! Rest assured I shan't keep dropping in and out as much moving forwards. I still have proper blog update to come and lots of exciting plans so do please stay tuned. On a different note, can you believe spring is nearly over!? I know that time is speeding by far too quickly for my liking. It's going to be summer before we know it!!

Have a brilliant week.
