Haunt London

A lazy Saturday brunch is quite often all that’s needed to solve a few weeks of late nights, too much drink and general Christmas tomfoolery. To remedy the dark circles, off we went to Haunt, a new restaurant opened in the heart of Stokey.

Having recently moved to North London I’m so happy to be closer to one of my favourite places – Stoke Newington. Independent retailers, cafes and beautiful parks, there’s few places in London that feel more like a home from home. Haunt is located just down Stoke Newington Road, right in the middle of Stoke Newington and Dalston Kingsland stations.

We went for a big, late brunch to get us ready for another night of exuberance and dancing – Haunt was the perfect location. Bright natural light streams though the windows and you have a choice of comfy sofas and big wide tables – perfect for sharing treats and secrets with your pals.

Brunch was flawless – poached eggs, thick cut smoked salmon and glossy, smooth hollandaise sauce, the quintessential ingredients for the perfect early afternoon meal. We also supped on fresh made smoothies’ as we gossiped about our evening plans, languishing for what was probably a little too long at our table. The staff however didn’t seem to mind one bit – catering to our every whim.

I couldn’t recommend Haunt more highly, especially if you intend to go for a long afternoon stroll down Stoke Newington Church Street like we did. Pouring over the bookshops and picking up some last bits for Christmas.

A thank you to Jukebox PR for sending us to Brunch, all views and superlatives my own!

  1. Oh my this looks amazing!! I am such a smoked salmon addict, I used to hate it when I was younger but now I can't get enough. So salmon, eggs and avocado is just call I need. I haven't explored Stoke Newington enough as it is quite a trek for me but I really should make more effort to get up there! x
